So the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of October saw us attending the Dive Show 2016 at the NEC. The SAA Vice Chair, Dennis Tammadge, set up our small, but perfectly formed, stand on the Friday evening so all that was needed on Saturday morning were smiles on faces as we were ready to greet the show visitors.
The corner positioning of our stand meant we were certainly easy to find. We had many SAA members stop and chat with conversations ranging from the serious to the ridiculous! Although the dive show itself seemed to have fewer exhibitors than in previous years, there was plenty to keep visitors entertained.
Some of our members talked very highly of the quality of the presentations they attended and we know others were tempted to book their next dive trip! For most SAA members it would seem like the dive show was the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and talk all things scuba. We know a few SAA divers couldn't resist a bargain as wetsuits were bought and dry suits ordered.
A huge thank you to all the divers who popped to say hello on the stand; we enjoyed the conversations and it was great to be able to put some names to the faces. We'd also like to say thanks to Dennis and the team of SAA members he had manning the stand over the weekend; without you the show wouldn't have been the success it was.
