I have noticed that there has been a number of regional and club courses being completed recently. Well done to all who have gained some certification and thank you to all the instructors for their time and effort.

If you have been on some of the courses you will have received an SAA CMAS card as part of your certification. Currently we award SAA CMAS cards for Nitrox, Rescue Diver, Self Reliant Diver, Regional  and National Instructor courses.

If you are a Club or Open Water Instructor you can apply for a CMAS Instructor card. These will however only be available if you are qualified to Dive Supervisor, which is the minimum grade for a CMAS Instructor card.

If qualified you can also apply for a SAA CMAS Drysuit card. You will find this particularly useful if you need to hire a drysuit.

If you do not currently have an SAA CMAS card for your diver grade it may well be worth investing in one. Application forms are in the members area on the SAA website or from head office.Although most countries we go to are aware of the SAA some of the more remote areas may not be so well informed.
