Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS)
DBS checks are now completed on line.
Please read the guide to ‘How to’ fill in the online form. If you have any questions or problems regarding this application process, you can call Disclosure services, who provide us with this programme, on 01691 662255.
On Page one of the application process, the applicant must select Enhanced, when choosing which DBS check they are applying for.
Please note, that with every online application, the SAA needs to be sent an ‘Evidence Gathering Form’.
This form is to replace the Welfare Officer signing the back of the hardcopy form to say that they are responsible for having seen the three types of Identification for the individual and will be kept on file in case DBS challenges the process of ID checking. The ID listed on this form must match the ID that the applicant enters on the online application.
This MUST be filled in by the Welfare Officer or Membership Secretary and sent to me at:
admin@saa.org.uk(email) or Irene Sartorius, SAA, Space Solutions Business Centre, Sefton Lane Maghull, Liverpool, L31 8BX (post), when the online application is submitted. I will then confirm that the named people are current SAA Instructors and forward to BSAC for their verification.
NB. BSAC will not verify this application until they have received this.
If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me either by e-mail or on 0151 2871001
