We all know that dive shows provide the perfect place to try on lots of kit from different suppliers so you can decide on the best option for you….and there are often some great deals to be had. Even if you don’t need new kit (although we’d argue there’s always a need for some dive related purchase!) there are lots of other reasons to attend these events.
Dive 2019, taking place 26th and 27th October, is an ideal opportunity to meet up with fellow divers from the UK. We’ll be on stand 442, so please do come and say hello to us as we’re a friendly bunch! There’s a great mix of speakers talking on the Diver Stage, although the exact schedule is to be released, including firm favourites Paul Rose and Monty Halls. If you fancy picking up some hints and tips on how to improve your underwater photography or videography skills then the PhotoZone Stage looks like a must.
The TekDeck Stage has a collection of experts sharing their knowledge and experience over the 2 days, including SAA member Sally Cartwright who will be talking on the subject of Technical Diving Projects. Ocean Theatre Talks will help you add even more destinations to your diving holiday list!
Members of the SAA are running the try dive pool over the weekend so if you have any friends who may be interested in taking up the sport this could be an ideal way to introduce them to scuba diving. A try dive combined with seeing everything else at the show, including what’s usually a fantastic photo gallery, may just be the way to persuade them to join you in the underwater world! If you would like to register for a try dive session, please email Irene at admin@saa.org.uk to reserve a space; we expect the pool to be busy over the 2 days.
