The BDSG have issued a release following an update to the DEFRA COVID-19 guidance on the use of boats.

The British Diving Safety Group has noted the guidance issued earlier today (11th June 2020)
by Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).DEFRA’s “Guidance on inland and
coastal boating and protecting yourself and others from coronavirus” includes a section
“Skippered day-boat hire and skippered day charter hire”. This advice is pertinent to diving in England.
Skippered day-boat hire and skippered day charter hire.

The Government’s guidance states: “operators should not allow skippered day boat hire or skippered day
charter boat hire.”
